Micheal Kosmicki

This guy is currently a student in Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and is going to graduate soon next year. But he is already an art director and a good graphic designer. His website Subsist is what he calls 'the creative output' for him to showcase his creative talents and get freelance opportunities for any collaborative projects.

I do like his posters. Simple and eye-catching. Some strong typography layout there. However, for his books, they are kind of normal. Perhaps the projects themselves call out for something simple and generic.

I want to try find a really good book/publication with really awesome typography and layout within. Even better if i can see them off in local bookstores' here. Sometimes I am quite disgusted with really crappy banners/posters/catalogues or just about anything print media found.

Somehow the art and design scene in Singapore has more room to bloom and be seen. I think half of the designers here are successful and making some improvements to the local design scene but the other half is just out there, doing crappy layout for non-aesthetics-taste clients just to earn a living. Ah.. how sad. I don't want to end up like that.
