There's nothing creepy or freaky being too organized.
i know this person found some joy looking at things neatly organized.
i so feel like visiting his/her house!

i like organized mess.
i like it neat but i dont like it being too perfect.
i dont know.just dont judge my preference.

Daren Newman
I love his style. In fact those hand drawn letters are so mesmerising. I love how he took the time to create such details. two things i learnt from him. time and effort = priceless satisfaction of an artpiece that you will proud of. and of course having your own style.

speaking of style, im in need of finding out my own one.
urgh....i think i have it already. i just need to flick it across to my own works for my folio.
ive to start putting together a better folio now. i mean seriously. i am lagging behind.

kaman told me the other day some of the girls including her thought of exhibiting in a space during march next year. i wanna be well equipped with awesome stuff to show. i need to have developed all my collateral by then. my folio, works to sell or auction for, simply said, i need to show off my style!

its gonna be exciting. i want to make it a stepping platform for me to get a better designer position or any opportunities of freelance design!

ZUTTO
This is a special post. Not only the post has triple of the same number, this post marks my pondering questions about my illustration style. I was looking at some tee shirts designs and vector art. The thing is, I do appreciate vector art but I am not that big of a fan for clean vector style. I love rugged, edgy, rough looking illustrations that plays with line texture and strokes. The way I colour is also different. I dont do much gradients but I like combining flat colours with different hues and tones to make it more 3D.

One fine example of a vector art illustration who masters gradient is Zutto. What a cute Russian name!! I admire her capability to create characters that appears strong and soft and so real at the same time. The Owls she did were AMAZING!! cant get enough of those mysterious creatures!

ELEANOR WOOD
Love the surrealist touch in her collage artworks. Tasty graphic elements and subjects. I feel so calm and at ease with the great choice of colour palatte. Reminds me a little of Dadaism where collages techniques are being developed from the cubist movement in the early 1920s! See Hanna Hoch's work below...Lovely lovely inspiration!

DEKORE

Very talented young lad. Check some of his works in his very simple to navigate site! Nicolas Tual is quite a fresh grad but his talent is superb.! he has a few self art directed works and his illustrations are really eye catching. i love the colours he used and the characters he created. It is so awesome to be able to use your own personal style and touch on your client's work. I mean it's a great way to spread your art...

For now my design work has to cater to client's guidelines. I hope someday I get to spread my personal touch on big brands too.

Lovely lovely inspiration!

Oh, by the way, Erica is gonna feature in a segment tomorrow night on Channel News Asia. I better not miss that one! My classmates are all doing well. Viet tu is in Edinburgh taking her masters. I last hear Joanne is an berlin doing god know what. But im sure she's having a helluva fun time! And jie ni is launching her FYP book on chinese superstitions, which is super great!

I do have visions to expands my fyp. But im getting more drawn to geometric and minimalist things nowadays. perhaps i can incorporate that interest into my works. speaking of which, i need to build my folio soon. lots to do.... this is super exciting! but quite nerve wrecking!
