get groovy baby

was walking around town and i felt like i need some music. i went straight to the corner showing putumayo world music. i have always been a fan of world music. i think they show the richness of cultures. and music is something great one can learn about another culture even having not travelled there. it's just so culture-rich! and i simply love it. i was spoilt for choices but picked this two. i was like in my head, yea i need some arabic grooves when i am making my patterns explorations, i could get more inspired and expressive! and afro latin is just very soothing. with the beats and all, the trumpets and nice foreign language whispering to me while i test out the cd to listen to the tracks. i think i am going back to the store Gramaphone at The Cathay soon to get the french, cubano and latin reggae compilation... hmmm so wonderful...

check out the site..
you get to sample some free music!

other than the great tracks, i love the album and its illustration style, with the vibrant color palette for each compilation. hmmm i am trying to find the acoustic arabia one!
