FOODGAWKER!!
Such a foodspiration!
Who the hell would give up food? The whole experience of buying ingredients, making them with your own hands and effort makes eating food a glorious event everyday. I dont understand how some girls stay away from really good looking food just to stay in their skinny jeans.
note to self: I, Sarah Salim, will never ever give up food. enjoy every bit, every taste and every crumb that comes along every meal. I will of course, eat in moderation while indulging.
;)

Fika.
A really nice, cosy Swedish cafe restaurant at the outskirts of Arab Street and Beach Road. Such a lovely ambience with distant Arabic/Mediterranean music accompanying the cool breezy night. Well, the above description is what I hope to achieve this weekend with Ayul.
I went there for lunch with YY, Sara and Richard. My openface Grilled Salmon Sandwich was extraordinary! I hope to come back this Saturday to try the Swedish Hash. Richard had that and it did look yummy with the heap of beef and egg and potatoes!
Aahhhhhh I cant wait. It's my turn to treat him ;)

Ants On a Log!
Initially I wanted to make ants on a log. Put in peanut butter in the slot and arrange some raisins on top. Viola! But I decided to put in egg mayo and chilli tuna so I can bring my leftover celery stick for today's lunch!
Extra egg mayo I made it into sandwich! I love my lunch! This helps when you are so freaking broke!!!

Tahu Goreng!!!
I finally had my tahu goreng on Monday! Forgot to write about it. It's such a simple kampong dish and not to mention cheap to whip out too. But it's one of my favourite things to eat and really get full.
It's made of fried tofu, sambal petis and kacang, cucumber and bean sprouts. One can add carrots if you want to eat more veggies. I think the secret recipe lies on how you whip up the sambal petis. You can make it spicy or non-spicy or more 'bacin'(that means more petis or not).
The nuts in the sambal must be well fried too. If it's not crunchy, your tahu goreng dish is just gonna one lousy one. =)
happiness...

Noodle Schmoodle
I had noodles for the weekend. I am still yearning for it. I guess I didnt eat enough noodles for dinner and it's already gone by the time it was sahur(pre-dawn meal).
I randomly typed noodles.com and came across Noodles & Company. Cute and adorable website and the company gives you a very cosy, homely feel as you tour around their website. Both flash and non-flash are equally nice and easy to navigate.
I love their 400 calories and less chart. Very thoughtful and the colours made me wanna prepare something like that for dinner sometime. Uuummm...
Oh, I also found some cool noodle art stuff. Other than some pictures of 'create-celebrity-noodle' posted by someone, there's a noodle sculpture found in the Palais De Tokyo in Paris, France. That was really made of Asian noodles. The noodle bench is called The Spaghetti Bench from Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
